Which is the best Bare Escentuals blush for a ';natural flush';?

Hi. I am looking for a matte blush that will give me that natural flush color/look. I tried on ';Hint'; at Sephora and it isn't doing it for me-- way too much shimmer. I do like the product in general just not that specific color. I am ';Golden Medium'; in BE and 060 in Shiseido. I'm half asian, tan easily, 21 years old. Any help at all would be very greatly appreciated! Any recommendations will be useful even if not Bare Escentuals. I am a fan of Nars :)

Thanks!!!Which is the best Bare Escentuals blush for a ';natural flush';?
To give you my professional advice of over 20 years, take it back!

Bare Minerals is the single worst product you can expose your skin to because it contains an ingredient as its main base called bismuth oxychloride. This is a very cheap filler that causes white bumpy breakouts all over your face not to mention the irritation associated and itching.

Bismuth is a form of arsenic lead and any sales rep. that tells you different knows nothing about harmful ingredients and just looking for a commissionon the sale.

With that said here are some gorgeous colors:

  • Glowy and natural looking face? Mineral Powder, Blush, Bronzer? (which products?)?

I don't know what to use. I want a mineral powder foundation with good coverage but where you can't tell that i've put make-up on.

Also I have a very dull and pale face color. How do you live it up with make-up that doesn't look too make-up-y? Some kind of blush and/or bronzer that gives off a nice, healthy glow-effect?

Thanks for all answers :DGlowy and natural looking face? Mineral Powder, Blush, Bronzer? (which products?)?
First, let me start by addressing your dullness issue. I used to have dull skin, but I revamped my skincare routine, and it is gorgeous now. I wash with a soap free face wash, tone with witch hazel, and finish with Bare Minerals Skin Rev-er Upper and an oil-free moisturizer in the morning. At night, I use the Neutrogena Wave, witch hazel and Neutrogena Intensive Deep Wrinkle Night cream. My skin is very soft, my pores are clean and small, and my wrinkles are almost non-existent!

I also have very pale skin and use Bare Minerals makeup. I love it. It covers everything, creates the clear, dewy skin I want, and use all-over face colors to give myself the look of returning from a relaxing vacation! Warmth and Bare Radiance are my favorites. They bronze and add warmth and a healthy glow. (I only use one at a time though!) My skin doesn't break out anymore, and I always look fresh and glowing throughout my long day. (I work 10 hour days and have many other things to do before and after work.) A little bit of Mineral Veil freshens me up and absorbs oil to reduce shine during the day if I need it.

Good luck and have fun experimenting to find what's right for you!Glowy and natural looking face? Mineral Powder, Blush, Bronzer? (which products?)?
I have tried plenty of products and personally, my favorite has been the mineral products. I really like the Bare Minerals line, but it is quite pricey, so if you don't want to spend that much money, you can also try Maybelline Mineral Powder (They have liquid foundation that blends in great %26amp; also they have the powder). Good Luck!
I too have pale skin and it used to be pretty dull. I have starting using philosophy microdelivery exfoliating cleanse to help with my skin tone. I use Bare Minerals makeup and it works wonders. After applying the powder foundation, I use Warmth (don't let the dark color scare you!) just use a dab and brush in the areas the sun would naturally hit you, then follow with the Mineral Veil. It really brightens the skin for a healthy glow.

Okay, i know its not school yet, but what blush would look natural on my skin color in my yearbook pics. please put the brand of the blush and its color.

the yearbook pics are going to be colored and i am probably going to wear a maroon shirt. I am just going to wear foundation, concealer and blush. Also don't recommend mascara because my eyelashes are really long and thick.

My skin color is the same as theirs ( sorry I can't post my pic up):

Try a Rosey, Peach or Pink blush.
you will always want to use a pinkish color
    use a bronzer
It's really good you're going to wear maroon, it's easy to work with.

Your color blush should be either a peachy pink or a cherry. Eyeshadow should be pink if you have brown eyes, smokey or dark red for blue, sparkly brown for green or hazel.

If you decide not to go with maroon, choose white. It's really easy to work with, and usually makes people with that skin color look very attractive (so says guys I know....). Also straighten your hair!

I have acne & I usually put concealer them powder the blush on. But the new thing is natural so what shoul?

If you need that type of make up to cover your blemishes, then use it.

    Make up CAN look natural.

With any trend, hair...make up...clothes...if its not right for your skin, hair or body type. Don't do it!I have acne %26amp; I usually put concealer them powder the blush on. But the new thing is natural so what shoul?
Wearing make up can be natural.

Put concealer on like you always do. If your blemish is red use a green concealer and over powder (none translulent). If it is a blemish scar use a yellow concealer and over powder (none translutent). If you want make up to be very natural. Don't apply powder all over the face. Apply it on your blemish or any dark circles you have. Put blush on, but lightly. Dont over due.

BTW: Make up do not cause acne.

HTHI have acne %26amp; I usually put concealer them powder the blush on. But the new thing is natural so what shoul?
Okay, I'm not trying to be an advertisement here, but use ProActiv. I used to laugh at the commercials, think about how they airbrushed the pictures, but my mom bought me some about two weeks ago, and my acne is practically gone! It's crazy!

As for makeup, use the concealer, then use the Mineral Powder, it looks the most natural and covers blemishes well =)

    Good Luck!
I really disagree with the person who said use ProActiv. Go to the dermatologist. I developed acne at a really young age (I'm sixteen), and I go to the dermatologist. My skin is now pretty clear. It is the best way to clear your skin. Differin works wonders.

As for being natural, you can look natural while wearing makeup. You just have to make sure to wear the right shade for your skin tone and you'll be fine.
Try using just concealer on spots, and then blend it out a bit, skip the powder and blush, or use the power really lightly, don't cake it on.
Using makeup may cover the acne, but many times its clogs the pores in our skin %26amp; make the acne worse. Use a cleanser or soap to keep the skin clean %26amp; the skin condition will improve.
you can wear makeup and still look natural

apply the powder and blush on lightly for a natural look

Blush! How can I have the natural kind!?

How can i get a natural blush, and im am just a little dark skinned, but not that darkBlush! How can I have the natural kind!?
Use a big brush and chose the blusher closest to you skin colour. After, apply some loose powderBlush! How can I have the natural kind!?
    in any other blush;

    depends on your skin color;

    if you really want it natural, ';don't put too much';

    make it light; blend it it; and just put it around your cheek bone;

don't go far or little; by this its natural.
i really like how bare mineral's blush looks. they come in all different colors of pink and when applied with the brush in the correct cheek area, you look great. it looks light and natural, try that.
I find that the liquid or gel kind blend in for a more natural flush. Look for one of those formulas in a sheer shade and try it out!
i think you can you a cheek stain like benetint or tarte's cheek stain
what do you mean by natural kind?

What is the best natural looking blush out there?

    for a budget of $30

here's a pic for a hint of my skin tone

Yes! I use Benefit and like it.

I can't tell you which one exactly is for you but when you go buy it, the lady at the counter can help you. What is the best natural looking blush out there?
I would use a an colors from MAC cosmetics ( I know they are more expensive, but you get what you pay for...and that's quality)

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15104%26amp;PRODUCT_ID=PROD1460

With your skin tone I would go for shades like:

    Pink Swoon

    Dolly Mix

    Breezy

    Raizin

    Peaches

    Pinch me

    Peachykeen

    Plum foolery

Anything with a nice sheen too it so it will highlight the cheekbones and give you a nice fresh glow.
I've used a lot of benefit products but not the one you mentioned. You could try it though. I don't know how well a cream blush works.

Currently I'm using Mac mineralize blush and it looks very natural on me and it's only $21. It's also good for your skin. I love it.
Until now, MAC Msf Petticoat wins big time.

What is a good natural drugstore blush for asians?

    My friend has been asking me to help her find a perfect shade of blush and seeing as I hardly wear blush, I don't have much experience in that area. So I decided to ask you guys. [;

My friend is asian; yellow skintone and all yet she's a bit pale. Paler than some asians I'd say. She has pretty good skin, I hardly ever see her breaking out.

What my friend would like is a good DRUGSTORE BRAND BLUSH that would be suitable for her skintone. Something that compliments her face- a pale pink or something similar. Something that she could wear to school everyday and no one would go up to her and be all, ';OMG, are you like, wearing blush?'; She would perfer it to be a powder blush and not cream or any of that.

Please remember; NATURAL is essential to her.

  • How to apply blush ? so it would look natural.?

i am light colored skin , what blush is best for me, and how to use it?

sorry im still new to makeup :SHow to apply blush ? so it would look natural.?
    hey there .....

i will give you a link to an article which will teach you to go step by step to get the best out of your blush ! and to have a healthy natural , not clown look ...

good luck ....How to apply blush ? so it would look natural.?
Ok......so for paler skin.....I got you the hookup! I'll give you tips for the ';natural'; look! It totally works!

    Here goes:

Start always with a clean canvas. I recommend an aerosol foundation with a sponge. Aerosol foundations tend to be lighter and look a lot smoother for the ';airbrushed finish';. Sponges are a big key for even tones on skin. Using your fingers gives you an uneven tone and can give you ';zebra lines';. When using a sponge though, you want to spray the foundation onto the sponge, wipe onto skin to spread, and then blot until evenly dispersed. As far as mascara and eyeliner goes, the right color and the amount used are the two key things. Got darker skin? Go for blacks and very dark brown tones. Lighter skinned? Lighter-toned browns are usually best. When applying for the ';natural'; look, remember: A LITTLE BIT GOES A LONG WAY! Start at the part of the eye where the tear duct is located and work your way back, making a thin, but somewhat heavy line.....staying as close to the lashes as possible. I would recommend the top lids only, and use mascara on the upper and lower lashes. Once liner is applied, use a SMALL Q-tip or liner smudger and GENTLY smudge liner from tear duct to outer edge of lid. Remember: smudge OUT, not UP! Once smudged, apply mascara of SAME COLOR to both the upper and lower lashes. I recommend a mascara brush with fine bristles or a mascara comb. I also recommend finding a mascara that is as smooth as possible. The smoother your mascara, the less opportunity for clumps. Once you have this down, a very SMALL, LIGHT amount of bronzer may be added to the jaw line and T-zone (across the forehead and down the nose), both in one swipe. Too much bronzer will make you look like you have dirty skin. If desired, a very fine, LIGHT blush may also be applied to the apples of the cheeks (smile and the part that raises up are your apples) with a LARGE blush brush. Once you have this down, you pretty much are set with the ';natural'; look. Remember: LESS IS MORE!
First choose the color using nature as your guide. The trick is to find a color that matches your cheeks when they're flushed after exercise or being out in the cold. or for a quick test, 'pinch' your cheeks %26amp; use the resulting color as a guide. Another trick is to match your lip color. Fair skin looks great in rose colors.

Use a professional full brush not the freebies that come with the blush.

Put the blush on your brush, tapping off any excess. Look into the mirror and smile. This helps you figure out where the 'apple' of your cheek is.

Since you want a healthy, natural flush, it's best to apply blush only to apples of your cheeks. Keep color light %26amp; blended. If you've gone a bit too heavy on the powder blush, a bit of translucent powder over it will calm it down
A light pink or a peachy color is what you should use. What you should do is make a fish face (bite your cheeks from the inside) then apply blush to your blush brush, tap the excess blush off then brush upward on the top of your cheekbones (part of your cheek that stands out by your eyes) .

Check out this girl's site. She suggests this blush/bronzer duo that's SUCH A GREAT DEAL (something like $3 I think) and it looks so pretty and natural on my pale skin. Go to the left side of the page and click Fabulous Finds.

use a really light shade of pink, almost neutral. Apply is to the apples of your cheeks (when you smile the little circle of on your face) and with the brush swipe it gently across your face.
Follow Lalaland's answer but to get the right colour pinch your cheek and then have a look in the shops for a similar colour
flip through the magazines find a model or celeb that's your complexion and bring it to MAC and they will match you

NARS blush looks natural looking on any skintone.

However, there are two versions of it. Theres a new one with a lot of

Either Nars, Mac or Bobbi brown have natural blushers, they are wondeful!
    a bronzer....
It really depends on your skin tone. If you have yellow undertones, especcialy for asian skin then peach color works for you. If you have gray undertones especially african origin then dark colors are great, example maroon or anything with brown shades. If you are light colored like that of caucasians then light colors are great for you example light pink.....be sure to use large brush to blend the blush well with your natural color. If you have round face apply it from the base of your cheaks upwards in parallel to the outer corner of your eyes. If you have a long or oval face apply it from the base of your cheaks in parralel to your ears. Dont forget to smile first before applying the blush..... for more info on. skin care visit

natural makeup is much better for your skin. sally beauty supply in your area, carry and array of makeup called femme contours a new line of mineral makeup thats great for the skin. it comes in mineral makeup , blushes, eye and lip needs. hope this helps. and reasonalbly priced.
It may have been Bare Escentuals. They are on QVC and they've had infomercials out for at least the last year. They have powder brow products that work really well and I love their blush colors and you practically never run out once you buy a color. I really hate my natural blush because no one eles has this and it is so annyoing. Can anyone help me? or tell me what to do aabout it, Thanks. How to get rid of natural blush ?
I have a natural blush too, so you are not alone. People apply make-up blush to create a young, fresh glow, but we get it naturally! Your natural blush is a result of the complexion of your skin, which you can't change. Try to embrace your blush; it's part of your face and part of what makes you unique and beautiful! How to get rid of natural blush ?
You probably can't rid of the blush, and you probably shouldn't try because it could damage your skin. However, I watch a show called ';What Not to Wear'; on TLC and they once had a man on who had a very reddish complexion. They said that he should wear blues and greens, not yellows and his complexion would look better. So you might want to try that and see if it looks like there's a difference.

    Good luck.

GIRLS...Is natural blush and a mole on a guy...kinda ugly?

well i have a light pink natural blush and a small mole half/inch above my lip,not even the size of a pea...i used to think it made me look gay...i didnt used to like it but now i have facial hair..sideburns that go down and connect to my beard which goes along the length of my jawbone and chin...its just that the majority of guys ive seen with a natural blush actually tend to be gay...OH, and what will my peers say if i remove my mole??GIRLS...Is natural blush and a mole on a guy...kinda ugly?
no its not ugly and you shouldnt remove your mole if its not even the size of a pea thats just silly lol plsu it will probably leave a small mark stop caring about what other people think and be proud of who you are !!

omg dnt remove the mole i have two moles on my cheek which is embarrassing count ursef lucky lol

plus ifi removed them i wud miss them

and to the girl that says moles are ewwy why dnt u stop caring abotu what other poeple look like idiotGIRLS...Is natural blush and a mole on a guy...kinda ugly?
I don't think anyone would blame you for removing a mole if you wanted to, if it made you more comfortable with yourself.

Natural blush does tend to look a bit feminine, I wouldn't say ugly though. They make stuff to make it less obvious, but if you're confident and like how you look it will show and someone is going to like it too:)

Sometimes beauty is in the flaws, if not for everyone, then for that someone.
Well I don't really like beards...sideburns are okay but not too long...anyways, back to your question I agree that you should remove the mole (can be distracting) and guys shouldn't wear makeup, if that's what you mean by blush...blushing guys are cute though...hehe
    don't bother about removing it,

    you sound cute.

plus most girls would kill for naturally blushed cheeks :P

seriously don't worry about it, :)
WTF your so self conscious. Perhaps get rid of the gay beard. And you can always resort to simple surgery to remove your mole. The natural blush thing is cute?! I think your absolutely fine. At least you don't have any missing arms or legs...
Umm its just a mole...But if its like uber big thats kinda weird...

But its ur face you shouldnt really care...

Personaly if I had a mole on my face it would b removed pronto...

Not saying some ppl might not think its sexy...

But me ohh no lol eww haha

    Srry :S

    Moles are ewwwy...
Who gives a crap what you're friends say. If you want it removed, then remove it if it makes you feel more confidant/happy.
    what do you mean kinda
    big moles are ewww

Any ideas of a blush that actually looks natural and stays on all day?

do you 'powder' after applying blush?Any ideas of a blush that actually looks natural and stays on all day?
yes of course because you could see the blush more beautifully,

i recommend you to try on the body shop's lip and cheek stain. it's liquid blush, stays all day, you could adjust the color you want to put on and you could put it on your lips!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!Any ideas of a blush that actually looks natural and stays on all day?
I recommend you to use MAC blush because it has so many color tones for you to choose from.

You apply powder after only when you use cream blush.

But using cream blush is more difficult than using a normal blush. And if you're not good at using cream blush, it will makes your cheek looks unnatural.
I take the same lipstick that I use on my lips (cause it matches my complexion perfectly) and use it (sparingly of course - like using a cream blush, which is basically the same thing) on my cheeks as well. It stays on all day. Because it (along with my lips) is matched to my complexion, not my outfit, I can use the same color with everything. I do not use powder or foundation - I think it kills the life in your complexion. I do use some undereye concealer for circles. That and a bit of eyeliner on eyes and brows is it.

    .
i suggest bronzer instead of blush
    I reccommend a cream blush

apply only to the apples of the cheeks

%26amp; if you have fair skin look for peachy tones

a little goes a long way!
If you have fair skin, use benefit danelion. its a powder and has a little it of gol shimmer in it that looks really pretty!!
    liquid blush is cool

the one that is lip and cheek tint!
I use the blush from Maybelline and it stays on all day... I love it :)

yes, you should apply the blush AFTER your powder so that it becomes the prominent color on your cheeks.
well i pinch my cheeks and they stay really long depending how long you do and how hard. Trust me it looks much better then blush cuz you have to do color choosing for your skin and it is bad. Pinching gives the perfect color.
use bare minerals blush and miniral vail, is all natural and is good for yr skin,so good u can sleep n it.
I like Stila's Convertible Color. It's a cream blush (not powder), so either you like the texture or you don't, but I love the look and durability of it. Other cream blushes may give you the same effect if you don't want to shell out the dough for Stila.
    blush from bodyshop
looks natural? i suggest u to try on liquid blusher instead of the powder 1... and choose ur blusher colour based on your skin colour... if you have fairer skin, put on pink one. if darker, put on peachy colour one...i thougth BOURJOIS blusher is good
I use Maybelline Dream Mousse blush.

It is excellent. It blends it well, goes on smooth, last all day, and leaves you with a natural look. :)

I think a cheek tint would do just fine... It looks natural esp when your have a light complexion. The key is finding a right color for your skin type and color. It all depends. And not applying too much will help too! And yea, you can puff a little powder after applying cheek tints to get rid of the 'shine'. Make sure not to puff on too much.

Products of Shu Uemura %26amp; Body Shop are good... THough a little pricey, (for me) you get the value out of your money! Other brands will do, just make sure you pick the right color and shade for your skin. Hope this helps!

i love MAC. The counter artist chose the color for me. They will check with you whether it's for daily usage or as party makeup. Normally they will put 2 colors on you and let u try. After 1-2 hours, the blush will sets on yr skin, hence looking natural. And the pot is big and the color lasts almost the whole day.I need a blush which doesn't have any shimmer or 'glittery' effect in the light... natural blush?
I would recommend NARS. they have very classy matte non glittery colored blushes. try sephora.com
Depending on your skin tone, use this blush http://thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/browse/p鈥?/a>
check out Bobbi Brown. I second the NARS suggestion too.
Some of the Loreal Truematch blushes don't have any. Ihave the N3-4, innocent flush, no glitter.
    Revlon can be pretty flat.
benetint by benefit..its the best natural blush ever!

    beetroot!!
Yes Bare minerals has a whole product line!
the only one that i can think of that is all natural is from tarte. they have one cheek stain called ';all natural'; and it's the only one in that line, and in the store (i work at sephora) that we have. there's only one color, and it is def abundant. there's lots of color to it, but that's nice because you can just use a tiny bit and blend. check it out on sephora.com if you don't have one near you.

pinch your cheeks lightlyHow do we create a natural blush? what makeup/blush product should i use? i have white skin..?
I suggest using a bubble-gum pink powder blush with a big, fat brush, and brushing it just on the apples of your cheeks. If you can, avoid wearing foundation on your cheeks- this will help the blush stand out.

I personally don't like cream or gel blushes, I feel like they clog my pores.
I don't know your exact skin tone but I use Cover Girl blush in Refined Rose or Desert Rose.
Try a bronzer...I love Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blocks. She has various shades and it has a slight ';glow'; that makes it very natural. There is a pink compact that would look great on pale skin.

I never used to use blush before discovering this product and now, I am addicted to it. It brings out the natural ';BLUSH'; affect that you seem to be looking for. I use a big blush brush to apply on the apples of my cheeks (SMILE when doing so) and slightly on my nose and forehead. Makes you have that bronzed, beach tan that J.Lo is so famous for.

    Hope this helps!!!
Pinch your cheek kind of hard. Look in the mirror. Buy that color.
    pinch your cheeks lighlty
Find a Laura Mercier counter (such as at Macy's). They have a brown blush loose powder that really makes a nice blush for us lilly white girls...
Owww,...everyone keeps telling you to pinch yourself,...lol Personally, I waited until I went jogging to buy my blush, I jogged the quarter mile to the store (Rite-Aid, which I love because if you make a goof they refund makeup), by that time my cheeks were flushed and I already had a natural blush, so I merely placed the shades next to the apples of my cheeks in the mirrors they have located throughout the stores.

I apply my blush on the apples of my cheeks in a vertical line with my fingers (this lefts the face in a smile somewhat, and a clever anti aging trick as well), and then I blend with a fat soft brush to make it appear more antural. As always due apply transluciant powder over top to set it, ofcourse use the powder sparingly.

    Hope that works for you.

I have really fair skin too! Most people with fair skin make the mistake of thinking that they need to have a light blush ! but that could'nt be farther from the truth ! all you need is a nice big fluffy brush to apply you blush and you should choose a color that works well for your skin tone not if your fair medium or dark! that is not how you determine the right color ! you might be fair person with cool tones or a fair person with neutral tones or a fair person with warm tones! I agree with above that you should go to the make up counter at your local mall and have them try colors on you ! you can have the person right done a descriptions of the color that worked best for you and try to find something similar at a drugstore if you are short on cash! but above all a nice big fluffy brush and some good blending are the only things that will guarantee a nice, natural, look!I am looking for a nice natural blush, any suggestions!?
I use the baby doll shade of blush by LA Minerals. It's really pretty. You can buy 5 samples of different colors for $5 and they ship them free. (i think i have a sample of almost everything on their website LOL)

Oh...the Hot Minute bronzer is really nice shade on fair skin too.

    http://www.laminerals.com
Smashbox O-Glow intuitive cheek color is really good. It turns a different shade for everyone. It's quite pricey, but it last forever because you only need to use a tiny bit to look really natural.
Go to Clinique. They will put some colors on your skin so that you can choose which one you like best on your skin tone. It costs more money, but it is worth it in the end.

  • How do you contour your cheeks with blush/bronzer, while still looking natural?

for night-time make-up, i've tried to use blush/bronzer, but it always seems to look raggedy-ann and fake. how do you create a dramatic look, without looking dramatically bad?How do you contour your cheeks with blush/bronzer, while still looking natural?
Just think about where the sun would touch your face naturally. Your forehead usually gets the most sun, bridge of your nose, high point of your cheeks. So just don't apply an even layer of bronzer all over, because that's not how you'd look if you had been strolling in the sun. As for blush less is more, i usually don't wear blush and bronzer at the same time, but if I do, I use very little blush on the apples of my cheeks, gently swept upwards to the corner of my eye. I also put a little bronzer on my chest. Just to look sun kissed. How do you contour your cheeks with blush/bronzer, while still looking natural?
It took me years to master this one!!!

The answer is to use a nice natural blush that will give you a healthy glow like MAC blushcreme or Bobbi Brown.

Then LIGHTLY..apply the bronzer and I said LIGHTLY!!!.....I use my fingers and it works well.

Then BLEND, BLEND, BLEND......this will give you a nice healthy glow without looking overdone.

    Remember girlfriend...blend it all nicely!

make a fishy face while appyling the makup. go from your jaw bone and go up in to your hairline by your ear. use the bronzers and blushes that one girl put on here.
I saw this makeup on Tv called Bare Minerals and its very natural and looks great but its not cakey either... i know thats professional makeup artists putting it on, but its probabally one of the few products out there that would work for stuff of that sort
my complextion is medium and right now I'm useing two cream blushes ones pink and ones bronze I first use the pink and look straight in the mirror making sure the light is right so that I can see my cheek bone and blend the pink across the top of my cheek bone and the the bronze underneath blending them together where they touch, if you do it right it should make your cheek bones pop out. turn your head to the side at the end to check if you've put to much makeup on or if it's not blended well. The cream blush is really better for blending then the powder, good luck

What color blush do you prefer (natural, dark, bronze, etc.)?

Hey! I wear all kinds of looks, but my favorite blushers are usually in the ';berry'; shades. I think darker cheeks look great. What do you think?

Just some sparkle? Bronzer? Peach? Pink?

Thought it would be interesting to see all different opinions :)What color blush do you prefer (natural, dark, bronze, etc.)?
I tend to wear whatever goes best with the overall look that I have going on at the moment. Today for example I am wearing a pale pinky brown shade. I try to steer clear of anything too dark on my cheeks as I like to keep things looking as clean and natural as possible. Most days I wear peach based colours. My skin tone is medium. What color blush do you prefer (natural, dark, bronze, etc.)?
    Hey!

With my skin tone, I prefer the more coral pinks and peaches, that is if Im going for a fresh look. They look more natural on me and are a similar peachy pink to colour pink of my lips so it all works well together :) lol

But if Im going for a more ';night-time'; look, for going out and stuff then I'd use a darker bronzer pinky-red. And, usually I'll add some hightlight on top to add shine and shimmer :)

But I have to be careful because some darker reds make all the red spots on my face stand out, even if I've covered them with foundation and concealer.

    :)
I have pale - medium colour skin, and my favourite type of blusher is a peachy colour. Peach is a good colour for every skin tone, and you can get shades of peach, too. I like warm-toned peach blushers to apply of the apples of my cheeks. I have blue eyes and blonde hair. I prefer matte blushers rather than shimmery blushers :) x
i love strawberry pinks, %26amp; icy shimmery pinks, with golden bronzers,

dark blush thats brown- i really don't like :/

    :)

    xx.
As I am a strawberry blonde, I prefer natural and coral tones -- although, I have been known to throw in some warm pinks once in awhile!
    Bronzers!
peach and dark bronze i use both at the same time sometimes
it depends on the type or color of your skin

Does concealers hide your natural blush?

i like to show my natural blush but i also want to hide my brown spots so please tell me a concealer that does not hide your natural spots but works great on spotsDoes concealers hide your natural blush?
Most concealers are very thick, at least if you want a decent one that will cover up your brown spots. And if they are thick, there is a very high chance they will cover up your natural blush. You can try taking a thin foundation and add a little lotion to it to thicken it up and try to do that. But what I actually would do, is take either the concealer you are using now, or try to find a thin concealer and take a concealer brush, sponge, or finger tips and use a gentle dabbing motion and it might just cover up your brown spots controlling where you put the product and how much you put. Other wise, look up how to lighten brown spots. I know Olay has many many products that decrease brown spot pigmintation. Good luck![:Does concealers hide your natural blush?
    no, not really.

If you're worried get a blusher which is the same colour as your natural blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks to give more of a a natural effect.
I have not used a concealer for a long time, but I begin using a mineral foundation.
u put concealer where u wnt. if u dnt wnt to hide ur blush, dnt put it on ur cheeks, just under ur eyes and ur spots. u put foundation or powder over ur whole face.
your best bet is anything ';mineralized'; since they are the most sheer.
Then go for LOTUS brand concealer

Tea Rose from The Body Shop. It flatters almost everyone and is a cinch to use.Whats the best natural-looking pink blush for a warm skintone?
if you have a warm skin tone I dont think you should wear a pink blush that is too bright. I suggest you go with a blush that is pink but also has peachy tone to it so it could bring out the warmth in your skintone. I think you should try a blush by Jane cosmetics. Its called Jane Blushing Cheeks and I reccommend you try the shade number 04 called Blushing Earth Sheer. It is a really pretty color and it's at a great price as well. You can purchase Jane cosmetics at local drugstores like Rite Aid, CVS, or Duane Reade for about $3 or $4.

    Good Luck, I hope I helped *_*
are you a fair skinned warm skin tone? (try coral pink)

or a dark skinned warm skin tone? (forget about pink blush)

the safest way is to buy pink blush from asian brands like The Face Shop, Missha, Canmake, VOV and etc. mainly korean and japanese brands. i have a similar experience, not with blush but concealor. i've tried multiple 'western brands' like maybelline, loreal and revlon etc and i never manage to find a tone suitable for my skin, until i switched to a korean brand did i really find my shade.

another point to note, if you're a dark skinned warm skin tone, pink would never be your colour. switch to colours like braun orange instead.
clinique is my blush brand choice i use...im an olive skin toned person though...on the warmer end lol...

    http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

    it glides on really nicely.
Alexandra, aularale.com/7002 (petal pink) has great cheek colors! They come in duos so you'll also get a nice contrasting cheek color.
I too would suggest Jane blushes but I really prefer their pillow blushes. They have one called soft mink which is absolutely stunning and you can find it at any drugstore for super cheap.
Benefit dandelion blush is very natural looking on a range of skin tones and it smells pretty.
try bare mineral ';hint';. bare minerals has a lot of really natural blushes, with a bit of shimmer.

How to apply blush and make it look natural?

can anyone recommend any good blush with no glitter and sparkling stuff?

is putting on no other makeup and just blush ok? i only want to add a little color to my cheeks. i dont want to use foundation and all of that.

where do you apply it on the cheeks? How to apply blush and make it look natural?
You should suck in your cheeks and then take a natural tan or taupe colored blush onto your ';indents'; of your cheeks as if your dusting something. btw make sure your brush is completely clean and not brittle and your 'hairs' should not have 'split ends' that keeps your look very natural. you never want blush that's streaky! then use some highlighter (not the kind u use in school lol) and then dot it on your cheekbones. there should be at least 3 -4 dots of highlighter. your cheeks should be relaxed by the time you highlight. if you want color too, before you use the taupe blush..use a cream blush with a hint of pink or red.suck in your cheeks and apply like the highlighter only in the indent.use medium sized dots making their way up to your temples. blend until a hint of color is left and voila! your done...best answer would help!!

BTW: use concealer under your eyes to keep you looking bright and natural!!How to apply blush and make it look natural?
application: smile and sweep onto to the apples of the cheeks and slightly backwards lightly.

a good way is to pinch your own cheeks and see which part reddens to see your natural blush area.

I personally like mineral powder blushes, and its also important to use the right brush, a fluffy one, not the one that comes in the package.

another easy way is to use your fav lipstick shade, take a tiny bit and rub it into your cheeks.

First choose the color using nature as your guide. According to InStyle, the trick is to find a color that matches your cheeks when they're flushed after exercise or being out in the cold.

Now that you have the color, choose the right formula for your skin type. Powder is typically best for oily %26amp; combo skin. Cream is great for dry skin. Liquid and gel are great for oily skin. For even better results, combine cream %26amp; powder together

Apply foundation, eye color %26amp; lipstick.

Use a professional full brush instead (I like MAC's blush brush No. 116)

Put the blush on your brush, tapping off any excess or put a dab of gel on your fingers.
get a light pink shade of covergirl blush. To apply just smile and brush on the blush to the apples (the part that sticks out when you smile) of your cheeks. Just apply in circular motions. Remember! Less is more!

Here is a video of how to apply blush:

    http://www.revver.com/video/43248/makeup鈥?/a>
im not sure of a actual one, but barry m, or loreal or even NYC will do one for certain at a actual low price.

a good way of appliing blush is by suckin gin your cheeks and looking like a fish, the gaps then are wear you apply it, But never use tons. that will look fake just dust it over.
New York Color's Cheek Glow Powder Blush is great and it doesn't have any glitter. Smile and apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. It is ok if you only want to apply a blush by itself because it will stand out even if you only have a little on.
ok so i have natuaraly blushed cheecks so i no exactly how to do it just pick out a really light shade of blush and suck in your checks and put it only on the bone then once you put a light cover on smere it around a little bit and it looks natural
probably light pink blush :) ps: dude u look like me wtf lol

  • Is it possible for your cheeks to have their own natural blush??

yes. some people already have rosy cheeks. it's on and off for me.Is it possible for your cheeks to have their own natural blush??
    Yes it is.

I believe in the 1800's-1900's, women would actually pinch their cheeks to make them appear rosier..

People also wear blush to highlight their face, even though they have a little bit of their own natural blush in their face.Is it possible for your cheeks to have their own natural blush??
    Yes, of course.

Most women look best with no make up - maybe a little bit to emphasize their eyes or lips.

It is only the makeup companies that teach us to cover up everything. That's crazy bad for your skin.

How to apply blush to make it look natural?

I stopped using blush because everytime I apply it, it looks fake. I'm using a Covergirl pink/peach blush and I have a powder brush. So where/how to apply to make it look natural and sun kissed? How to apply blush to make it look natural?
First of all it looks more natural if you apply it with a face/powder brush. Tap the brush a little into the lid before you put it on so it doesn't get too much color on your face. To point out the apples of your cheeks better, it can be a good idea to smile while you are putting the blush on. You want to sweep the blush on areas where sunlight would naturally hit if you want to look sunkissed, which is mostly across the cheeks and nose. Just a little on the nose, and you can add a little to the other parts of the ';T zone'; as well. Also, Physicians Formula makes great multi-colored bronzing powders for different skin tones. I use the bronzing pearls for fair skin and it is great because it doesn't look fake on my skin like a lot of bronzers would. How to apply blush to make it look natural?
If you want more of a sunkissed look use a bronzer. Also, check your pressure on how you apply your make-up with a brush and how you pick up product from the container. Blushes come in different finishes from frosty, matte, sheer, etc. If you have a powder brush which coverage is a bit stronger and you find yourself applying too much color, blot off a bit of product from the brush by working some of the product off on a tissue before you apply it on your face.
You need to use a large fuffy brush when you apply it. Smile into the mirror and apply to the part of your cheek that sticks out, this is called the apple of your cheek, and when applied here, the blush looks really natural.
You should try softening the edges, if you don't already. Make sure you don't just apply one big stroke and leave it like that. You can try lightly dabbing it with a tissue to make it look softer instead of harsh and fake.
Here is the trick after you swipe your brush into the blush, flick your brush so that the excess falls out. then smile and apply the blush on the apples on your cheeks.
dont apply too much just a smidge and after that put a little foundation on dont cover the whole thing just a smidge ya dig,

    Best natural looking blush type?

I have pale skin, the type that freckles in the summer, and love tinted moisturizer, and I was wondering what type of blue(example: powder, cream, gel) would be the best for a look that both looks and feels natural. If you can give application tips and brands/shades that work well too, it will be greatly appreciated.Best natural looking blush type?
I suggest peach colors for fair skin . It's not very noticeable but it just makes your face look healthy and glowy. Any brand is fine, just as long as it's a powder. Or Smashbox has a product that's called O Glow, it's a gel that when you apply it it turns your natural blushing shade. I haven't tried it but it looks pretty cool.Best natural looking blush type?
i use NARS blush; it works well for me. its $25 and is translucent so that you apply it in layers to get darker and darker. you really cant fee it on your face at all. did you say you want blue shades??hmm i really dont think they make those. but some shades that would look good on you are lovejoy and sin. if you do end up using it then apply it with a really light toch on the first layer.

good luck; im sure that youll look pretty!

How do you make blush look natural?

If you use a color which compliments your complexion and use a soft powder blush which you blend so you don't see any lines, it should be great. (You don't want the wrong color or a very dark one because then it will look artificial). You can also use a soft gel blush and use it sparingly. The trick is to blend it well so it looks natural. How do you make blush look natural?
first you have to pick a color that is going to compliment your skin tone as well as a color that realistic to your skin tone then be sure to inhance to appropriate areas such as your cheek bones if you have average cheek bones and you want to add some height to them you can also apply a darker colored blush slightly below the cheek bone and lighter color on top of cheek bone and then blend well with blush brush and remember less id more especially with blushHow do you make blush look natural?
A lot of people go by only wearing a matching color for their skin tone. But in order to do that, to now clash, you have to also wear colors in the clothes that's also your colors too.

If you're a warm %26amp; gold tone colors look good of you, for example %26amp; you're going to wear a pink toned color as bright blue, (which is cool) you need to wear a cool colored blush.( I buy only clothes that are my colors).

Get a blush %26amp; lip color in the same hue. Select your ideal shade. Put your blush only on the apples of your cheeks. using the right brush as Avon's blush brush helps 100% too. Do it there.

If you want to contour %26amp; make your cheeks look slimmer, use a deeper color or a brownish under that color in a soft sweep all the way back to the hairline. It should not be so dark that it stares at you or you feel it looks obvious.

Do not put blush above 2 fingers close to your nose.
By using the correct color for your skin tone. Use it lightly immediately following applying fresh makeup and use up and out strokes with the brush. Or if it is a creamy or gel type put just a really small amount on your index finger and make three spots. Smooth into the correct area to give yourself that healthy glow. Always go lighter in tone than heavier unless you are taking pictures with a flash.

Use the right shade, a fluffy brush, and a light hand. Only apply to the apples of your cheeks, and you want your blush barely noticeable, so use a very light hand.

I personally use Cover Girl's Cheekers in Plumberry. It's very flattering, I look like I'm slightly flushed from the sun!
First you pick out a color that matches your skin tone.

And second, while applying don't excessively apply. Alot of people go overboard with the amount of blush they put.

Just remember a little blush can last a long time and do the trick.
Use the right shade, blend, use the right amount too. Its very important too not use to much.

Put a dab on your apples of your cheeks and blend out and up.
Maybelline has mineral powders that are great. Not expensive and look great. Try the bronzer.
Go to Nordstroms or somewhere and ask what shade you should be applying for the look you want. You probably have the wrong shade.

Whats better for natural look blush or tint?

ok some of my teachers scold me for using make-up

but actually its not make-up its just a colored face powder

    but im hard-headed soo..

what looks more natural blush or cheek tint?tnx.Whats better for natural look blush or tint?
I would suggest using the blush. You have more control and its fairly easy to wipe off if needed. Use a color that will compliment your skin tone. But since you are trying to go for a natural look, use lighter shades.Whats better for natural look blush or tint?
I agree w/d-lish. Plus if you have oily skin, a powder is best to use. :)
With blush, you have more control. And sometimes cheek tints smear in different directions... and that's not natural! With blush, you have control over direction, shape, and the amount of blush you want to put on. Plus you can mix different shades.

I recommend putting a darker shade of blush just underneath you cheekbones and apply a pink/peach shade on your cheeks.

    GOOD LUCK!
D i agree and i disagree.....the tint is harder to control so i agree that a blush is better when going for a natural look......but please please, the dark blush under the cheek bones, and the light on the cheek bones, that is outdated! My friend at college gave me a makeover and applied the blush, she said her mom showed her how to do it, she sold avon, when i saw my cheeks i thought to myself ';this is why i don't do avon';.......Try a light pink color, the more pinkie colors give a more natural color.

As with all makeup, if you want it to look natural you try lighter tones that are closer to your skin tone, the darker and bolder the color the more dramatic the look will be. Just experiment and see what looks best! Have fun!!!!

    How to Conceal Natural Blush?

I have an awful quantity of natural blush along with very sun-tanned skin (in which confuses me quite a lot, since I rarely spend time in the sun and does not play any atheletic activity). Even though most people I know seem to desire my type of natural facial skin, I prefer the idea of blush-free pale skin much more and absolutely despise the pink-tinted colors on my cheeks. I'm utterly terrified of the color pink and it looks as if I am blushing 24/7.

I've tried to use pressed powder and fundations, but I like to use shades a little lighter than my skin tone since whenever I apply them all over it decreases the sun-tanned effect on my face. Thus the effect is a little unnatural.

Are there any suggestions on how I should cover up my natural blush?

(Note: I have very unsensitive skin, so special oil-free or non-allergic cosmetics are unrequired.)How to Conceal Natural Blush?
I have rosacea and here is how I cover the red:

After applying your moisturizer (always moisturize as it sets the foundation) use a yellow based concealer over the red and feather it around the edge. Then apply your foundation over that.

Use a liquid foundation followed by a neutral powder to get rid of that spooky unnatural look and give you a nice natural pale.

MicroSkin works well for me. A natural and beautiful product, although quite expensive. Google it. It was invented in QLD, Australia. Report Abuse

Sound like it might be a bit of roseaca. You might want to try mineral foundations. Bare Escentuals is mineral foundation is highly pigmented and not pink. You can find it on-line, at Sephora and QVC.
Use Maybelline Pure makeup. They have foundations in lighter skin tones that you might like. Also, they are liquid, easy to apply, and cover up everything underneath.
I have naturally rosy cheeks, also %26amp; do not neccesarily like it. I have used Clinique brand foundation %26amp; find that it covers it %26amp; looks really natural. I do not wear alot of makeup-but this is the one thing I swear by. You can find it in Macy's and department stores like it. They have alot of different kinds of foundations, but the one I use is called Superbalanced %26amp; sounds like it would work for you, too. It's for normal skin. About $18 a bottle %26amp; lasts 2 months at least.

i need something natural color for my lips like. red candy. can you think of anything else? is there anything in the grocery store an ingredient that has a red or orange tint?Is there any homemade natural lipcolor and blush?
Cherry Kool-aid and vaseline -- blend it together with enough kool-aid to have a bright color (or light color, whatever). It's cheap, vaseline keeps your lips moisturized and it tastes good :)Is there any homemade natural lipcolor and blush?
I think it would be more efficient and cheaper to even invest in a cheap brand of lipstick versus dying your lips with food products.
pomegranite seeds will stain your lips as will rubbing a popsicle over your lips as you eat it.

Add clear gloss afterwards and it will look so cool.
Sally Hansen and Physican's Formula have organic makeup out now including lipstick. Try them.

What can i do to have rosy cheek? i mean natural blush. NOT MAKEUP!?

I see some of my friends has got natural blush on their face. they did not applied any makeup. Its all natural. But i don have. and my face kinda look pale without it. So i was hoping that somemore can tell me what are the things i can do to get the natural blush. What can i do to have rosy cheek? i mean natural blush. NOT MAKEUP!?
natural rosy cheeks comes from healthy skin and good blood circulation, some sun and some of it is heredity too

pinching lightly thumbs and forfinger on side by the nuckle, your cheeks will bring up some redness/blood under the surface

best possible looking skin is very important=

Mix some glycerin, aloe vera, jojoba oil and lavender and neroli oil together for your daily moisturizer. The glycerin keeps moisture in your skin, the aloe soothing, jojoba is like the natural sebum in your skin and the lavender oils will take care of cellular regeneration and neroli minimizes pores and will balance the skin. If you do this just use a few drops of each of the essential oils.

one recommends wash your face with dr. bronners peppermint soap twice a day too.

try to reduce the cause, the darker the skin the more naturally it will be oily, oil in skin keeps it younger longer.

reduce oil intake, stay away from saturated and unsaturated fats, the best oil to intake is olive oil, in salads and on food as a margerine and butter substitute.

Neutragena for dry, medium or oily skin

    and care for your skin=

also texture of skin is very important=Winter is tough on skin, hydrate yourself with plenty of water.

first you have to get rid of the cause, are you using a non lanoline based soap?

for hands are you washing dishes? use gloves

are you using soap on your body or hands, and body?

try not to use soap on your face, use astringint,

if you do use a form of soap to remove make up, make sure it is a beauty soap=contains lotion base, yet rinse thoroughly to remove all the soap from the lotion base on body face and hands.

and make sure any time your hands touch soap you wash them well in straight water. Then immediately apply lotion, intenisive care is fine, do not use straight vasoline it will leave your hands gooey. Read the ingredients make sure there is no alchohol in the lotion, or anything else you use on your hands, alchohol is used to dry many lotions yet can get sealed under the lotion into your pours which will lay in the pours drying them out.

This is especially true for lip balms with alchohol base, promising mosturized lips yet actually making them worse=needing more balm which in turn dries them even more when the wrong balm is used, same thing for many hand 'moisterizers'

drinking plenty of good (no clorine-let it sit out for 1 day-and make sure it is processed through a purifying system

water lubricates your entire body by hydration including your hands

hands should be tough yet soft and tender not rough, tough comes from handling brooms, mops, soap and or rubber gloves, carrying things, using a rake or shovel, and even typing on the computer, calased areas along with the entire body especially the hands and feet need to be bathed, dead skin rubbed off and lotion applied immediately and not used until a couple of applications have dried in.

whenever you go out or whatever, just before you get out of your car and are about to meet someone, pinch your cheeks about 3 times, not to hard, but not to soft either. Pinch them right on your cheek bones. It works and looks good, remember not to hard, cause then you'll be all red like a tomato. Plus if you want a bit more ';hmpf';, bite your lips for a few seconds every now and then ;)
Use whitening soap and rub it on your chicks. Use also to wash your face. It thins your skin, making t look red. BLUSH!
A healthy Diet and exercise. Drink more water too!
Um the only other way I know is when you're always on the run. Like the kind of effect you get on cheeks after you jog or run.

    What's the most natural-looking blush you've used?

I have MAC's dollymix and a Benefit blush which I like a lot : ) but they're not that great for a really natural makeup look. What's the most natural-looking blush you've used?
I think a stain is best because it goes right into the skin as opposed to sitting on top and looks more natural. Its very sheer and gives just a nice rosey tint as if you were actually blushing and lasts for ages. Benetint by Benefit is amazing or if on a budget Lip and Cheek Stain by The Body Shop. What's the most natural-looking blush you've used?
