But seriously, if you don't already have make-up get a whole bunch of cheap stuff, and/or multi colors packs. You can find the colors that you like and then go for quality later.
Then, get a whole bunch of make-up remover, cotton balls and cold cream and just experiment! Look at magazines, books, cartoons, art, or whatever, for inspiration.
As for technical advice, technique changes with the fasion, the day, the event, or just your mood. My sister wears make-up to attract men, my bestfriend wears it as war-paint, and I wear it to enhance and detract.
Three totaly different looks. Get some music and just play for a night. Lots of girls did that, I still do!
OR If you live in a big city head to the MAC counter. I bet the clerks would just luuuuuv to get their brushes on you!

eyeliner is a matter of opinion, i would just put some on the top of the lash line(either liquid or reg. pencil will work) and make sure you use bronzer all over (where the sun would hit your face), then put blush on in a semi-straight line on your cheekbones approx an inch below your eyes. go online and search for make up how to videosI am a transsexaul how do u put on eye liner and blush?
I put the eyeliner just under my top eyelashes, between the lashes and eyeball. Its easier to be neat doing it this way and if it gets on your lower eye (assuming you don't want it there) its easily taken off with a slightly damp cotton bud.
For blusher, smile and put a little on the fullest part of your cheeks. Don't put too much on and then blend it in with a large make up brush so it looks natural.
